We have been dealing with Covid-19, riots, protest, injustice and many other things the last 4 months. The look of church has changed, we all look different with masks, weddings and funerals look different, school for the kids will probable look different, and society looks different. As we have tried to cope with all that is going on there are a few things that I have found that haven’t changed and still looks the same: when I go to adoration my Lord still looks the same. I think when I listen really close to him he is still saying the same thing to me;
love your self, love your neighbor, be kind to others – I think if I listen to this, pray about this, and try to do this I really believe that I might be able to change a small part of this world. When I go to Adoration Sunday Im going to spend my hour praying and thinking about all that is going on. I haven’t live streamed Adoration in a while but I think that with all that is happening I am going to start doing this again. This is really something I can do to change a small part of the world.
Thank you Jesus for touching my heart and giving me the thoughts I have. (only the good ones)
I want to challenge you to spend some time in front of the Blessed Sacrament every week. If you do you cannot leave unchanged. Jesus loves me with ALL my mistakes and problems, it is my job to love myself as he loves me, to love Him with all my heart and soul and to love others. That is a tall order sometimes but he asks us to do it. Some days I wonder how he could love me so much. He does.
